When we say, “Forever and ever,”
we imagine time without end -
calendars that never cease,
years stacked upon years,
time rising like towers toward eternity.
Yet here lies the catch:
we are still thinking within time.
In reality forever and ever is not a long time.
It is no time at all.
No before, no after, no waiting.
All simply is.
This presents a difficult concept to grasp,
for humans have never lived a single moment
outside the ticking of the clock.
It is important to note that
the Creator God is Forever and Ever.
This is not because He is old,
but because He exists outside of time itself.
The Creator God has neither “now” nor “later.”
In Him, time both begins and ends.
Humans attach time to forever
because we are limited in our understanding.
God is Forever and Ever,
not bound by time,
but limitless both within and beyond it.
