I saw God...
in the rain.
A sunny day,
rain was clearly not expected.
A sudden darkness
raised an uproar among the traders.
In search of sheds,
heels touch heads
as they secured their goods
from the downpour Heaven was about to send.
Yet under it I stood:
Heaven's water—
first in drops, then a drizzle—
I let it fall on me
like I needed a reminder
of His nearness.
God in the rain—
farmers' harvest is near,
traders are relieved of the sun
and His presence, so close, I could hold Him.
In the random,
God came—
a reminder of His presence,
His nearness at all times.
