Forever and Never

An Inkhorn Literary cover of a black and white line sketch of the back view of a woman, as if walking away, with her hair in a loose bun, wearing a long dress. Overlaid text in a script font reads "Forever & Never" in brown and white, with a smaller caption at the bottom: "I march on - no turning back." The "Inkhorn" logo with a quill is displayed in the upper left corner.

I have spoken—

"the cross is mine to bear."

I have chosen—

this is the path;

a road of fire and light,

where shadows cannot bind me,

where silence cannot break me.

Do not wait—

I will not return.

Do not whisper,

“She will tire. She will turn.”

I march on—

through heat of pain,

through silence of longing,

through storms that rage and fade—

no turning back.

Forever, I am Yours, Jesus—

my heart a flame,

my gaze unwavering,

my steps unyielding,

like stone upon stone raising a temple of faith.

And never—

never will I return to the old ways.

I have spoken—

forever, I am Yours.
